Storm Drop Doubleheader to Bisons

SNU left 23 runners on base in the two games

BETHANY, Okla.— Anthony Wiggins went 4-for-8 with three RBIs and one run scored in Southern Nazarene's 10-5 and 6-4 losses to Harding.
 
In game one, the Bisons (7-10, 3-3 GAC) struck first in the bottom of the first inning as they scored three runs. They added to their lead with three runs in the second and one run in the third make the score 7-0. The Crimson Storm (3-9, 2-6) got on the board in the top of the third off an RBI single by Wiggins that drove in Gaige Webster.
 
Harding drove in two more runs in the bottom of the sixth and another run in the bottom of the seventh to extend their lead to nine runs. Southern Nazarene responded in the top of the ninth with four runs. Dalen Edgar walked with the bases loaded to drive in Kyle Fultz. Riley Morrow hit a two-RBI single and drove in Cody Nelson along with Brandon Dormaier. Webster hit an RBI single and drove in Edgar. Edgar's run closed the gap to 10-5, but Dillon Feland grounded out to third base on the next at-bat to end the game.
 
Mason Pinion (1-2) started the game and pitched 5.1 innings and also allowed seven earned runs on eight hits.
 
Webster went 3-for-5 with one RBI and one run scored. Morrow went 2-for-5 with two RBIs. Fultz went 2-for-5 with one run scored. Dormaier went 2-for-4 with one run scored.
 
In game two, the Bisons scored two runs in the bottom of the first to take a 2-0 lead. They added two more runs in the bottom of the fourth to stretch their lead to four runs. The Crimson Storm responded in the top of the fourth with an RBI single by Edgar that drove in Wiggins. Harding added two more runs in the fifth to make the score 6-1. Southern Nazarene cut the deficit to two runs in the fifth with two runs of their own. Wiggins hit a two-RBI double that drove in Webster and Morrow. Dormaier hit an RBI single that drove in Wiggins to cut the deficit to 6-4. Neither team scored the rest of the way as the Bisons picked up the win in the second game of the doubleheader.
 
Jacob Spruill (1-1) started the game and pitched 4.1 innings, allowed six runs off of six hits, and had three strikeouts.
 
Wiggins went 2-for-3 with one double, two RBIs and two runs scored. Edgar went 2-for-3 with one RBI.
