BETHANY, Okla. — Southern Nazarene dropped both games of a Sunday doubleheader to East Central as it lost 3-0 in the first game and 12-5 in the second.
 
In the opener, 
Kayla Wyatt (5-6) gave up just one earned run in the first game as she struck out five in six innings of work. Southern Nazarene though had just three hits in the game. ECU's Brianna Nunley tossed a complete-game shutout. She struck out three in seven innings of work.
The Tigers scored one in the first and added two in the fifth on five hits.
 
In the nightcap, SNU scored first in the top of the first on a 
Sydni Toilolo fielder's choice, but ECU answered with five in the bottom of the fifth to lead 5-1.  The Tigers tacked on six more in the third to lead 11-1.
 
The Storm cut it to 11-3 in the top of the fourth when 
Kylie Palmer hit her first career home run to left. SNU picked up another run in the top of the fifth when 
Hannah LeBeau singled down the right field line to score 
Melissa Padilla. Padilla then singled to right in the top of the sixth to make it 11-5, but ECU scored one in the bottom of the sixth to push the score to 12-5.
 
Katelyn Brown (5-10) took the loss after giving up six runs on five hits in 2.1 innings of work. 
Jill Clemence and Padilla each went 2-for-4 as Clemence scored two runs while Padilla scored one and drove in a run.
 
The Storm fall to 10-15 on the year and 6-9 in the Great American Conference.Â
