OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. — Anthony Wiggins went 3-for-5 with two RBIs and two runs scored, a home run and double as Southern Nazarene fell 12-8 to No. 16 (NAIA) Oklahoma City in the 2015 season opener.Â

Michael Descisciolo went 2-for-3 with two RBIs a one run scored while Riley Morrow also went 2-for-3 for the Crimson Storm (0-1)SNU got on the board in the top of the first inning when
Kyle Fultz singled to center field to score
Gaige Webster. The Stars (1-0) took the lead in the bottom of the second as they answered with four runs.

Descisciolo doubled to centerfield and drove in
Dalen Edgar and Wiggins to cut the lead to 4-3 in the top of the fourth. After Descisciolo advanced to third on a Morrow single, Southern Nazarene pulled off a double steal as Morrow stole second and Descisciolo stole home to tie the game at 4-4.

Oklahoma City scored two runs in the bottom of the fourth to take a 6-4 lead, but SNU answered in the top of the sixth when Wiggins hit the first home run of the season for the Crimson Storm as he hit a two-run shot to right center that also scored
Caleb Teel and knotted the game at 6-6. Southern Nazarene retook the lead at 7-6 when
Dillon Feland singled to shortstop to drive in Edgar.

The Stars though scored six straight runs in the sixth and seventh innings to establish a 12-7 lead. SNU tacked another run on the board in the top of the eighth when Webster drove in
Jenner Brown with a single to cut the lead to 12-8. SNU then went down in order in the ninth to end the game.Â

Cooper Jansen (0-1) took the loss for the Crimson Storm as he gave up two runs and also walked two batters in 0.1 innings of work. Wiggins started the game for SNU giving up four hits and four runs in two innings pitched.
