BETHANY, Okla. — Three players combined for 47 points in Southern Nazarene's 75-62 win over Ouachita Saturday afternoon.

Abby Boyd led the Crimson Storm (1-1, 1-1 GAC) with 17 points and had seven rebounds. She also had two steals, two blocks and two assists.
LaShabra Plunkett and
Danielle Gaddis each had 15 points as Plunkett had seven boards while Gaddis had four.

Southern Nazarene blistered the nets in the first half as they shot 61.3 percent from the field and only took two shots from outside the perimeter. The Storm went 19-for-31 from the floor in the first half and finished the game 30-for-57. SNU was also a perfect 9-for-9 at the free-throw line through the first three quarters before finishing 13-for-15. Boyd was a perfect 7-for-7 at the line.

The Storm never trailed the entire game. SNU got out to an 18-11 lead in the first quarter and led 22-18 heading in the second. The Tigers cut it to 22-21 before Boyd sparked a 15-2 run to give SNU a 37-23 lead midway through the second. The Storm took their largest lead of the game at 45-29 with 1:09 left in the half before taking a 45-34 lead into the break.

SNU led 55-41 midway through the third, but the Tigers used a 12-4 run to cut it to 59-53 at the end of the third. The Storm pushed it to 64-53 on three straight free throws by Boyd, early in the fourth, before Ouachita cut it to single digits three more times.
Adrienne Berry hit a big trey with 3:25 left to play to put SNU up 70-58 and the Storm cruised from there.
