MONTICELLO, Ark.— Southern Nazarene performed better than Arkansas-Monticello in nearly every category, but they were hurt by 21 turnovers and 28 points off of those turnovers in a 79-75 loss.

The Crimson Storm (2-2, 0-2 GAC) shot 44.6 percent from the floor, 36.8 percent from behind the arc, and 81.8 percent from the free-throw line. This was better than the Cotton Blossoms' (1-2, 1-1 GAC) 40.7 percent mark from the field and 75.0 percent mark from the foul line. They had a slightly better three-point shooting percentage, but SNU made seven three-pointers compared to Arkansas Monticello's five.

Aminata Fall led Southern Nazarene with 28 points and 14 rebounds. She shot 8-for-19 from the field and 11-for-12 from the foul line.
Abby Boyd scored 22 points and shot 7-for-13 from the floor and 4-for-9 from the three-point line.
Ashley Gorman scored 17 points and pulled in 7 rebounds. She shot 7-for-9 from the field.

The game was a close battle for much of the first half as neither team was able to create a substantial advantage. Arkansas-Monticello was able create a large lead with a 15-4 run to put the game at 25-12 at the 7 minute mark. The Crimson Storm were able to cut into the 13 point deficit with an 18-7 run to make the score 32-30 at halftime.

Southern Nazarene kept the game close for the entire second half, as the Cotton Blossoms biggest lead of the half was ten points. Boyd tied the game with a three-pointer with 2:34 to go, but the Crimson Storm gave up a 11-7 run to close out the game.
