FORT SMITH, Ark. — Lexie Matthews had 00 kills for Southern Nazarene in a 3-0 (25-19, 25-21, 25-13) loss at Arkansas-Fort Smith Thursday night.

The Crimson Storm (13-7) were held to a .174 clip (34-13-121) and had nine service errors on the loss. The Lions (17-4) hit .244 and had seven aces on the night. SNU did out block UAFS 3-1.

Matthews hit .250 and had five digs.
Taylor Jacobs had seven kills on the night and 13 digs while
McKayla Benner had eight kills.
Kaylee Piatt had 29 assists and six digs.
Abbey Bell added 23 digs as well.

The Storm had closed it to to 18-15 in the first set, but UAFS went on a 7-4 run to close the set and held SNU to just a .163 clip in the first. The Storm hit .263 in the second set and led by as much as three. SNU was up 17-15 in the set, but the Lions closed it with a 10-4 run to lead 2-0. That second set run was all UAFS needed to cruise in the final set to put it away.
