Box Score CANYON, Texas — Southern Nazarene's seven-game road winning streak came to a close Saturday at the hands of No. 6 West Texas A&M in a 3-0 (25-19, 25-19, 25-16) loss.

The Crimson Storm (19-8) ran with WT (23-3) through the first two sets, but ran out of steam late as SNU played its final non-conference match of the season.

Kira Roberts had a team-high nine kills to go with five digs and two blocks.
Taylor Jacobs also had seven kills while
Kaylee Piatt and
Jamie Hope each had four kills. Piatt also added 26 assists along with eight digs and three blocks. Hope also had three blocks and added six digs while
Emily Dick did the same thing.
Abbey Bell recorded 15 digs as well.

SNU hit just .127 (30-16-110) and had 6.5 blocks to the Lady Buffs' 11. WT hit .294 (51-16-119) and had six players with at least five kills.

The Storm took an early lead in the first set with a four-point stretch that included a Jacobs kill and ace as SNU led 6-5. Despite going nearly point for point for most of the set, that was Southern Nazarene's only lead in the first. SNU got within two late at 18-16, but the Lady Buffs closed out the set with a 7-3 run.

It was nearly identical in the second set as SNU led early and held its biggest of two on multiple occasions. The Storm held a 10-8 lead early and had a 16-15 advantage, but WT scored four straight to lead 19-16 and pulled away from there to lead 2-0.

It was all Lady Buffs in the final set as they led from start to finish. West Texas A&M hit its highest percentage of any set at .316 (17-5-38) and cruised to its 17
th straight win.

The Crimson Storm now step back into Great American Conference play for good as they head to Southeastern Oklahoma State Tuesday for a 7 p.m. match.Â
