Box Score RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. — Kira Roberts had 10 kills and hit .364 for Southern Nazarene in a 3-0 (25-12, 25-22, 25-17) loss to Arkansas Tech Friday night.
The Crimson Storm (8-14, 5-2 GAC) lost its fifth straight as the Golden Suns (18-7, 6-1 GAC) out dug SNU 60-44 and held the Storm to just a .124 clip.
Natalia Oliveira had six kills and seven digs while
Taylor Chase had 24 assists and four digs.
Emma Krottinger had a team-high 11 digs and
Emily Troup had nine.
Jamie Hope had a team-high two blocks.
Carly Florian led the way for ATU as she had 13 kills and hit .216. Kaitlyn White also had 10 kills and 12 digs.
Arkansas Tech jumped out to a 12-3 lead and never looked back in taking a 1-0 lead in the match. The Golden Suns raced out to a 7-1 lead in the second set and were up 11-3 when
Nicole Greenway sparked 14-4 run as SNU took a 17-15 lead. The Storm led 19-17 before ATU used a 8-3 to close out the set and take a 2-0 lead. Arkansas Tech broke a 7-7 lead early in the third with three straight points to lead 10-7 and cruised from there.
The Crimson Storm now head to Harding to close out the weekend with a 2 p.m. GAC match.
