Southern Nazarene University Athletics

Martin, L

Logan Martin

Logan Martin begins her fifth year as an assistant coach and first under Trent May after a storied career at Southern Nazarene. Martin was a three-time NAIA All-American as she was a first team choice as a junior, a second team selection as a senior and earned third team honors as a freshman. She was also a four-time All-Sooner Athletic Conference selection and was named first team three times.

Martin became just the second player in school history to record at least 1,500 points, 600 assists and 500 rebounds. She finished her career with 1,815 points, 620 assists and 573 rebounds. After her career she stood ninth all-time in school history in points scored, fourth in assists, third in 3-point field goals made (184), fourth in free throws made and fifth in 3-point field goal percentage (39.7).

For a long stretch to start the 2010-11 season, Martin led the NAIA in 3-point field goal percentage and ended the season shooting 46.6 percent from beyond the arc. That mark was the fourth best percentage in school history as she was second in the NAIA and led the SAC.

Martin is no stranger to successful programs at SNU. Over the course of four years, the Crimson Storm went 92-39 with Martin on the team. Southern Nazarene went to three national tournaments and won the 2011 SAC Tournament Championship. She is also the daughter of SNU Director of Athletics Bobby Martin, who also holds the school’s career record in men’s basketball for most wins at 336.

Martin graduated from Southern Nazarene in 2012 with a bachelor’s in sport management. She has a son named Wyatt.
