Jared Black begins his first year as a graduate assistant for Southern Nazarene after coaching the five previous years at Bethany (Okla.) High School.
He spent 13 years total in the state at the high school level. He started his career at Guthrie where he spent five seasons coaching the Blue Jays. He then spent three years at Chisholm before heading to Bethany. Black helped the Bronchos to three area tournaments in his five seasons there. His career record at the high school level was 98-80.
Black graduated from Southern Nazarene in 2000 with a bachelor’s degree in social studies education.
He and his wife April live in Bethany with their have two daughters Kierstyn and Aunika.
