Rachel Janzen begins her first year as a graduate assistant for Southern Nazarene after coming from Eastern New Mexico University where she was also a graduate assistant for the 2011-12 season. Before ENMU she had three-year stint as the assistant coach at South Dakota School of Mines and Technology. She also was an assistant coach at Western Heights High School in Oklahoma City.
At SDSMT, Janzen was responsible for recruiting, film study and travel arrangements. She also was responsible for coaching the guards, coordinating practices, and game planning. Janzen was also responsible for film exchange.
Janzen earned a bachelor’s degree in physical education/sports and leisure at SNU in 2007. She graduated Magna Cum Laude and participated in varsity and junior varsity basketball. She also earned a master’s from Eastern New Mexico in sports management in 2012.
