Cooper, begins his third year as the Strength and Conditioning Coach and as an Assistant Coach with women's basketball. He was a standout athlete at Monte Vista Christian School in Watsonville, California. He played football, basketball, and baseball all four years and was All-Monterey Bay League First Team choice in football and basketball as a senior. He earned a 4.1 GPA and was apart of the National Honor Society.
He attended San Diego State University and graduated in a bachelor's degree in business entrepreneurship. At SDSU he played basketball under legendary coach Steve Fisher. During those years the team won three Mountain West Regular Season Championships, made four NCAA Tournament Appearances, and one Sweet Sixteen Appearance.
In July of 2015 he opened Iron Mill Performance in Edmond, Oklahoma. His gym focused specifically on Sports Performance for High School and College athletes. He also established Iron Mill Barbell Club for Olympic Weightlifting in the greater Oklahoma City area. He is certified as a Performance Specialist through the National Academy of Sports Medicine and National Strength and Conditioning Association. He is also certified through USAW United States of America Weightlifting as a Level 1 Sports Performance Coach and a Club Coach.
Last year he served as SNU's Strength and Conditioning Coach for the women's basketball program and also helped in film breakdown and on the court skill work with post players.
He is originally from Gilroy, California, and now resides in Bethany.Â
