West begins his first year as a full time assistant. The Plano, Texas. native was a standout at Southern Nazarene receiving an NAIA All-American honorablem mention and was an All-Sooner Athletic Confernece selection as a senior. He also recieved an All-SAC honorable mention as a junior. West was part of one of the winningest four-year classes in program history. From 2008-09 to the 2011-12 seasons SNU went 96-38 over four seasons.
He averaged 13.5 points and 4.7 rebounds his senior campaign and scored 1,186 career points. He ranks 10th all-time in school history in 3-point field goal percentage at 36.0 percent.Â
West was also an academic standout as he was named Capital One Academic All-District as a senior and earned Academic All-SAC honors as a junior.
He is married to former SNU women's basketball standout Jamie Bottger and they live in Oklahoma City.Â
