Brian Humphries

Brian Humphries begins his second season as an assistant coach at Southern Nazarene University. Prior to SNU, Humphries was the assistant coach at Northern Oklahoma College Enid for the past four seasons.

At Northern Oklahoma College, Humphries helped lead the Jets to new standards. In the 2007-08 season Humphries helped lead the Jets to their first finals appearance in the Region II tournament, along with 19 wins. The 2008-09 season proved to be an even better year at NOC-Enid. The Jets won the Bi-State West Conference with a record of 9-1 in the league. The Jets also returned to the Region II finals and ended the season with 25-8 record claiming Region II runner-up honors while setting the school record for wins in a season. In the 2009-10 season, with only three sophomores, the Jets finished 23-9 and advanced to the Region II semifinals.

Humphries' duties at Northern Oklahoma College included recruiting, student-athlete academic advisory, game preparation, and fundraising. Humphries' three recruiting classes for NOC-Enid included six Region II All-Region players, six Bi-State All-Conference West players, four NJCAA Academic All-Americans, the 2008-09 Region II Player of the Year and NJCAA All-American, Wayne Runnels and NJCAA All American, Ben Smith, the all-time leader in scoring and rebounding at NOC.

Prior to Northern Oklahoma College, Humphries was a graduate assistant at Northwestern Oklahoma State. While at NWOSU, Humphries helped lead NWOSU to a top 25 ranking. Humphries graduated from Northwestern Oklahoma State holding a masters degree in secondary education administration in 2005-2006.
