·  Helped SNU set a school-record 2,111 yards of rushing on the year

HIGH SCHOOL
·   Prepped four varsity seasons at Locust Grove (Oklahoma) High School where he graduated in 2017
·   Was a two-time Tulsa World All-State honorable mention
·   Played for Team USA in the U-19 Word Championships in China as they won the silver medal and won the North American Championship as part of the U-18 team
·   Played for the U-17 and U-16 team a a junior and sophomore where they won the International Bowl over Canada in AT&T Stadium
·   Helped 
·   Named Conference Offensive Lineman of the Year
·   Earned Academic All-Conference honors all four years
·   Broke school record for career starts with 50
·   Powerlifted for three seasons and played basketball and baseball for two seasons

·   Born Oct. 3, 1998, to Shawn and Melissa Bates
·   Has one brother Caleb
·   Majoring kinesiology with a minor in coaching
·   Plans to be a physical trainer or a strength and conditioning coach
·   Enjoys traveling to historic places, antique shopping, spending time with family and friends, meeting new people, working out and food of all kinds
