·   Prepped four varsity seasons at Nazarene Christian Academy in Crowley, Texas, where he graduated in 2016
·   Was a four-time All-State selection as a running back and a three-time choice as a linebacker
·   Named All-District all four years as a running back and linebacker
·   Played in the All-Star game as a senior
·   Ran for 636 yards, for 12 touchdowns to go with 36 tackles, four for a loss and three forced fumbles as a senior
·   Totaled 859 yards rushing and 17 touchdowns to go with 88 tackles, 12 for a loss, eight sacks and a blocked punt as a junior
·   Ran for 987 yards and 17 touchdowns to go with 1,265 all-purpose yards as a sophomore
·   Totaled 1,397 yards and 20 touchdowns as a part of 1,770 all-purpose yards as a freshman
·   Helped the Lions reach the state title game as a freshman and junior and the state semifinals in three of the four years he played
·   Played three years of baseball as well

·   Born Jan. 20, 1998, to Gary and Jackie Tate
·   Has three brothers, John, Robert and Brian, and two sisters, Rachel and Rebekah
·   Father played football at Cisco and Northwood, John played football at SNU and MidAmerica Nazarene, Robert played baseball at Hill College
·   Majoring in biology
·   Plans to be a chiropractor
·   Enjoys hanging out with friends
