Trinity Johnson

Trinity Johnson is in his third year as an assistant coach for the Southern Nazarene coaching the linebackers.

Johnson is a 1994 graduate of Elk City High in Elk City, Okla., where he was a Class 4A All-State linebacker. Johnson also earned Class 4A Linebacker of the Year honors in 1993 and was a Class 4A All-State selection in soccer.

Upon graduation, Johnson enrolled at Southwestern Oklahoma State where he earned his degree in education. At Southwestern, Johnson was a member the Bulldogs 1997 Lone Star Conference Championships team. Johnson played three seasons for the Bulldogs.

After graduating from Southwestern, Johnson began his coaching career at Yukon High School in 2000, coaching special teams, cornerbacks, and wide receivers from 2000-04.

Johnson left Yukon for Piedmont High in 2004, where he served as the defensive coordinator, linebacker’s coach, and head assistant before being named the head coach in 2006. Johnson spent three years as head coach at Piedmont, recording a 3-17 record before coming to Southern Nazarene for the fall of 2009.

Johnson resides in Yukon with his wife, Emily, and their two sons, Tobias and Titus.
