Michael Parker begins his fourth year as an assistant for Southern Nazarene.
Parker comes to SNU after retiring from teaching in the Mid-Del Public School system for the past seven years. Before that he served as an assistant coach at Carl Albert High School in Midwest City, Okla., a football power in the state of Oklahoma, for 14 years (1990-2004) and assisted the Titans in seven state titles.
He also coached junior varsity baseball and tennis at CAHS.
Before Carl Albert, he served as an assistant coach in both football and girls basketball at Luther (Okla.) High School for one season.
Parker is an 1978 graduate of Southern Nazarene University, earning a bachelor's in speech communication and then earned a master's in communication education in 1993.
He and his wife Delores live in Oklahoma City. They have three sons, Chris and his wife Mindy, Rusty and Tony Greene and his wife Rachel. They have two grandchildren, Abby and Andrew.
HIs son Tony played on SNU's first football team.
