Davis Hodam is heading into his fifth season coaching the safeties. Hodam comes to SNU from Peoria Notre Dame High School in Peoria, Illinois, where he was the special teams coordinator, tight end’s coach, and outside linebacker’s coach. Prior to Peoria Notre Dame, Hodam coached in Lincoln, Illinois, for six years at Lincoln Community High School. During his time in Lincoln, he served as defensive coordinator, co-offensive coordinator, quarterbacks coach, and defensive backs coach. While in Lincoln, Hodam was also the Head Men's Basketball Coach at Lincoln Christian University from 2011-13.
Coach Hodam began his collegiate playing career in the University of Saint Mary in Leavenworth, Kansas, as a starting quarterback (1999-2000), and he finished his playing career at MidAmerica Nazarene University in Olathe, Kansas, where he played for current SNU Head Coach, Mike Cochran. While at MNU, Hodam was a two-time NAIA-Daktronics Scholar-Athlete (2001-02) and a starter at wide receiver and fullback.
Along with coaching the Storm, Hodam is also the Resident Director for Snowbarger Hall at SNU. He and his wife, Stephanie, live on campus in SNU's all-male dormitory, with their three children, Jael, Canaan, and Calvary.
