Southern Nazarene University Athletics

Billy Sexton begins his seventh season and his first as defensive coordinator. He also assists in recruiting and is the strength and conditioning coach for the athletics department. 

Sexton is a native of Fort Worth, Texas, where he attended Boswell High, graduating in 2002. At Boswell, Sexton was an all-state linebacker.

After graduating from Boswell, Sexton went on to attend MidAmerica Nazarene where he played for current SNU Head Coach Mike Cochran. At MNU, Sexton was a Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete in 2004 for the Pioneers. At MNU, Sexton helped MidAmerica to three playoff appearances and two Heart of America Conference Championships. Sexton has coached Michael Hicks who was named an AFCA All-American as a sophomore and Christo Lisika who was invited to the Cleveland Brown's rookie camp after the 2013 season.

Upon graduation from MidAmerica, Sexton was an assistant coach at Olathe Northwest High School where he worked with the offensive line and was strength & conditioning coach.

Sexton resides in Yukon with his two children Billy and Makylie.
