·   Prepped three varsity seasons at Robert Vela High School in Edinburg, Texas, where he graduated in 2017
·   Was a three-time All-District honoree
·   Named All-Area as a senior
·   Received an Academic All-State honorable mention as a senior
·   Helped the Sabercats to two Bi-District Championships and three District Championships
·   Assisted in RVHS winning hte Area Championship and reaching the Regional semifinals as a junior
·   Named All-City as a junior
·   Played baseball one season as well
