·   Helped the Mustangs to the 2009 Lone Star Conference title

·   Prepped four varsity seasons at Celina (Texas) High School where he graduated in 2009
·   Was an all-district first team selection as a sophomore
·   Played two years of varsity football
·   Helped the Bobcats to the state title in 2008 and was named all-state first team as a senior
