Chase Glaum

Glaum begins his third season at SNU and his second as a full-time assistant. He was promoted from volunteer assistant to full-time assistant coach in July 2016. Glaum currently serves as the hitting coach, third base coach and will be entering his first season as the infield coach. In addition to his on-field duties, he is also in charge of strength and conditioning and coordinates recuriting.

In his first season as a full-time assistant, Glaum improved the team stats in several different offensive categories. In his first full cycle as a full-time recruiter, he helped secure 22 new student athletes in the 2017 class from California, Lousiana, Texas, Illinois, and Indiana.

He played one year at Cabrillo Community College in Aptos, California, where he played center field and hit .412 while earning all-conference honors in 2007. After taking a medical redshirt he transferred to SNU.

He played three seasons with the Crimson Storm from 2009-2011, where he finished with a .362 batting average and is currently third in career hits at SNU with 171 and is the program's all-time leader in stolen bases. As a defensive player he earned a SAC Gold Glove award his senior year. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communications.

After playing, he coached two seasons at Cabrillo Community College while earning a Masters in Exercise Science in Rehabilitation and Health Promotion from California University of Pennsylvania. He developed the strength and conditioning program for the baseball team and coached the outfielders, base running and assisted with hitting, recruiting and player placement.

In the fall of 2013 he moved back to Oklahoma where he was working in sports performance training in the Edmond area. He has several certifications through the national academy of sports medicine (NASM) such as Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES) and Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES).

He currently lives in Bethany with his wife Mary Joy and his two sons Kyrie and Ryder, and are expecting the birth of their third child in November.
