Crimson Storm Opens 2026 Cross Country Season Under the Lights

SNU Cross Country Opens Season at Distance After Dark Hosted by Rogers State

TULSA, Okla.-  Southern Nazarene opened their 2026 season on Thursday night, making the trip to Tulsa for Distance After Dark hosted by Rogers State. Both the men and women's squad faced a competitive night under the lights. 

 

On the women's side, Southern Nazarene finished with a team score of 425. Allie Shepard led the way with the Crimson Storm, clocking a time of 21:08.5 to place 109th. She was followed by Callie Coon, crossing the finish line at 21:10.5, for 110th place, and Lauryn Jackson, who rounded out the top three for SNU at 21:11.4 at 111th. 

 

The men's side finished with a team score of 346. Sean Kappel led the way for the Crimson Storm, running 22:11.7 to place 72nd, just ahead of Brady Robertson in 93rd at 22:41.0 and Logan Smith in 101st at 22:54.5 to round out the top three for Southern Nazarene.

The Crimson Storm will travel to Joplin, Missouri to compete in the Southern Stampede hosted by Missouri Southern on Saturday, September 19th.
