BETHANY, Okla. – Southern Nazarene University Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Danny Thomason has announced the hiring of Jovan Petrovic as the new head coach of the SNU Women's Soccer Program.

"We could not be more excited about the next chapter in the history of SNU Women's Soccer, with Coach Petrovic taking over leadership of the program. There was tremendous interest in this job, and we are happy to welcome Jovan and his beautiful family to SNU Athletics", said Thomason. 

Petrovic joins the Crimson Storm from the University of Central Oklahoma, where he has served as an assistant coach since 2024. During his time with the Bronchos, he helped lead the program in two MIAA Championship Tournament appearances and an NCAA Division II Women's Soccer Central Regional semifinal appearance. He also helped develop six All-MIAA selections while at UCO. 

Before his time in Edmond, Petrovic spent two years with the Tulsa Soccer Club as a co-Technical Director and coach. He also served as an assistant coach at Booker T. Washington High School during the 2021 season.

He served as an assistant coach at Oklahoma Wesleyan from 2018 to 2020. During his three seasons with the Eagles, he helped guide the program to a 46-15-5 overall record. He coached two NAIA All-Americans, two conference MVPs, and three conference Defensive Players of the Year while helping lead Oklahoma Wesleyan to the NCCAA National Championship match, where the Eagles finished as national runners-up in 2018.

As a player, Petrovic was a standout at Oklahoma Wesleyan, earning NAIA All-America honors. He graduated from Oklahoma Wesleyan in 2018 with a bachelor's degree in general business, then earned his master's degree from the university in 2020.\

Jovan is married to his wife, Cheyenne, and they have one daughter, Ilijana.
