Crimson Storm Complete Sweep Over East Central

Southern Nazarene claim the series finale, 7-1 in Ada for the sweep

ADA, Okla. - Southern Nazarene closed out its road series in dominant fashion on Thursday, rolling to a 7-1 victory over East Central in the finale to claim the series sweep in Ada.

The Crimson Storm (22-19, 13-8 GAC) wasted no time setting the tone, plating two runs in the opening inning. After working into scoring position early, RBI singles from Kira Taber and Eden Anderson gave SNU a quick 2-0 advantage over the Tigers (11-28, 5-16 GAC).

SNU continued to apply pressure in the second, stretching the lead to 4-0. Quinlyn Johnson delivered a run-scoring triple to the gap before Kristen Mullendore added a sacrifice fly to cap the inning.

The Storm broke things open in the third inning, capitalizing on a defensive miscue before Adyson Gaddis ripped a two-run double down the left field line to extend the lead to 6-0.

East Central got on the board in the bottom half of the third with a sacrifice fly, but that would be the Tigers' only run of the day as Southern Nazarene's pitching took control.

SNU added one more insurance run in the fourth when Eden Anderson drove in Macy Stewart with a double, pushing the lead to 7-1.

From there, Baylee Sales took over in the circle. The right-hander was dominant, tossing a complete game while allowing just one run and striking out 12 to earn her 11th win of the season.

Offensively, Anderson led the way with a pair of hits and three RBIs, while Gaddis added two RBIs of her own.
