Men's Bowling Finishes Fifth at Intercollegiate Team Championships

Crimson Storm end their season at the ITC placing fifth, their highest finish in program history

GREEN BAY, Wis. - Southern Nazarene men's bowling continued its rapid rise on the national stage with an impressive performance at the Intercollegiate Team Championships, finishing fifth, the highest placement in the program's brief three-year history. Crimson Storm sophomore Brandon Handog also represented SNU at the Intercollegiate Singles Championships.

No. 24 seeded Handog opened competition for the Crimson Storm on Tuesday, facing No. 9 seed Brady Lauber of Wisconsin-Whitewater. In a tightly contested match, Lauber narrowly defeated Handog 581–556 to advance.

Southern Nazarene shifted its focus to team play on Thursday, entering the tournament as the No. 16 seed. The Crimson Storm made an immediate statement, rallying from behind to upset No. 1 seed Webber International and advance to the second round.

SNU carried that momentum forward with a 4-1 victory over No. 9 McKendree, securing a spot in day two of the tournament.

On the second day, the Crimson Storm battled No. 5 St. Ambrose in a tightly fought match but came up just short, falling 4-3. The loss dropped SNU into the elimination bracket, where they faced No. 12 Marion. In another back-and-forth contest, Southern Nazarene again fell by a narrow 4-3 margin, bringing their remarkable postseason run to an end.

The fifth-place finish marks a significant milestone for the program and highlights its rapid ascent. In just three seasons, Southern Nazarene has evolved from a newcomer into a legitimate national contender, setting a new standard and raising expectations for the future.

The Crimson Storm now turn their attention to the offseason as they prepare for the 2026–27 campaign.
