SHAWNEE, Okla. – The Southern Nazarene STUNT team opened its 2026 season Thursday evening in Shawnee under first-year head coach Erin Johnson, facing a challenging slate against two nationally ranked opponents in Oklahoma Baptist and Oklahoma State.
The night marked SNU's first competition of the 2026 season and came on the heels of STUNT being voted a championship sport at the 2026 NCAA Convention, adding to the excitement surrounding the sport.
Southern Nazarene opened the evening against Division II powerhouse and preseason No. 2 Oklahoma Baptist. Despite a strong effort from the Crimson Storm, the Bison controlled the contest, handing SNU a 26-4 defeat.
In the second matchup, SNU took on the preseason No. 1 ranked club team in the nation, Oklahoma State. The Cowgirls' experience proved decisive as Oklahoma State secured a 27–4 victory.
