TULSA, Okla. — The Southern Nazarene men's golf team opened the 2026-27 season with a 12th-place finish at the NSU Men's Golf Classic, posting rounds of +6, +15 and +18 for a three-round total of +39. The tournament was played Sept. 21-22 at the 6,547-yard, par-71 Page Belcher Golf Club.

SNU tied for the tournament lead with 166 pars over the three rounds.

Miguel Anaya led the Crimson Storm individually, finishing T36 at +7 with rounds of 74, 71 and 75. Enzo Johnson followed at T42 with a total of +9 after rounds of 70, 79 and 73.

Andrew Hill finished T49 at +11, carding rounds of 72, 78 and 74. Davis Cunningham placed T62 at +14 with rounds of 74, 73 and 80. Cunningham recorded an eagle on the par-5 ninth hole during the final round.

Weston Wakefield finished T70 at +19 after rounds of 75, 77 and 80.

Filip Lukas competed as an individual for the Crimson Storm and finished T36 at +7. He opened with a 70 before shooting 74 in the second round and 76 in the final round.

Host Northeastern State won the team title at 8-under, one stroke ahead of Northwestern Oklahoma State. Northwestern Oklahoma State's Mathieu Zerwin claimed the individual championship at 5-under.

Southern Nazarene will return to action Sept. 28-29 at the Battle for the Belt in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
