HOT SPRINGS, Ark. — Southern Nazarene Men's Golf competed in their second tournament of the year as they tied for 12th at the Battle for the Belt. The team finished at 902 (+38) with rounds of 308, 301, and 293 at the 6,713-yard par-72 course at the Hot Springs Country Club in Arkansas.
Dawson Dunlap led the Crimson Storm with a steady three-round total of 221 (+5), closing with a 2-under-par 70 in Tuesday's final round to finish tied for 28th. Andrew Hill followed at 224 (+8), improving by a stroke each day and posting rounds of 74, 75, and 75 to tie for 39th.
Drew Hansen carded rounds of 77, 78, and 77 for a 232 (+16), tying for 59th. Jace Black recorded 233 (+17) to tie for 61st, highlighted by a second-round eagle on the par-5 10th hole. Enzo Johnson rounded out the lineup with a 236 (+20), finishing in 66th place.
Henderson State captured the team title at 851 (-13), while Union's Andrew Westmoreland claimed medalist honors at 204 (-12).
The Crimson Storm will return to action next week, October 6–7, at the Skip Wagnon Invitational, hosted at the KickingBird Golf Club in Edmond, Oklahoma.
