BLUE SPRINGS, Mo. — The Southern Nazarene University Women's Golf team opened the 2025 fall season this week at the Central Region Fall Preview, played at Adams Pointe Golf Club. The Crimson Storm placed 16th in the 18-team field with a two-round total of 647.
Southern Nazarene shot 328 (+40) in the opening round before improving to 319 (+31) on day two.
Junior Haley Whittern led the way for SNU with an impressive top-15 finish. She posted rounds of 75 (+3) and 74 (+2) to close at 149 (+5), good for a tie for 14th in the field of 90 golfers. Whittern, who qualified individually for the Central Regional last spring, continued her strong form with her second straight top-20 finish at the Central Region Fall Preview.
Sophomore Riley Rinner, and senior Gracelynn Nickell tied for second on the team, each posting a two-round total of 167 (+23). Sophomore Esther Santos was just two strokes behind, finishing with a 169 (+25) after improving seven shots from day one to day two. Freshman Addison Hoefar rounded out the lineup with rounds of 85–90 (175, +31).
Henderson State's Lily Nelson won the individual title at 4-under (140), while Central Missouri's Mia Rallo finished one stroke back at 141 (-3). Central Missouri also claimed the team championship with a total score of 586.
The Crimson Storm will return to action next week at the NSU Women's Classic in Muskogee, Oklahoma.
