JOPLIN, Mo. — The Southern Nazarene women's golf team finished seventh at the MSSU Women's Fall Invite, posting back-to-back rounds of 321 for a two-round total of 642 (+66). The tournament was played at the 5,774-yard, par-72 Twin Hills Golf and Country Club.
Brooke Ahn led the Crimson Storm individually, finishing 14th with rounds of 76 and 78 for a 154 (+10).
Haley Whittern finished T22 at 160 (+16) after rounds of 84 and 76. Whittern highlighted her final round with an eagle on the par-4 ninth hole, one of just two eagles recorded in the entire tournament.
Riley Rinner placed T29 with rounds of 79 and 84 for a 163 (+19), while Esther Santos finished T38 at 165 (+21) after posting rounds of 82 and 83. Addison Hoefar rounded out the SNU lineup in 44th place with rounds of 85 and 84 for a 169 (+25).
Washburn won the team title at 12-over, followed by Arkansas Tech at +28. Arkansas Tech's Jaylee Castro claimed the individual title at even par.
Southern Nazarene will return to action Oct. 5-6 at the Grace Shin Invitational in Edmond, Oklahoma.
