Southern Nazarene Grabs 1-0 Victory in Canyon

Crimson Storm grab a 1-0 win in Canyon to extend their win streak to two

CANYON, Texas - Southern Nazarene Men's Soccer picked up a 1-0 win over West Texas A&M on Saturday evening, earning their second straight victory.

West Texas A&M (1-2-0, 0-0-0 LSC) came out with early pressure as Connor Duggan fired the first look of the night. The Crimson Storm (2-2-0, 0-0-0 GAC) answered with shots from Luis Urquiza and Adnan Boulaghmal before Bekir Lekic added another attempt, but the match went into halftime scoreless at 0-0.

SNU kept pressing after the break as Lucas Beja rattled the woodwork with a close strike. Francisco Chong and Keshon Carter followed with shots on target, forcing saves from Buffaloes keeper Zach Kos. On the other end, Aimar Aramendia came up with a key stop against Delahmu Reeves to keep the game level.

The breakthrough came in the second half as Junior Duran scored the lone goal of the match, giving the Crimson Storm a 1-0 lead. Aramendia added another save late, denying WTAMU's D'Jonte Davis to lock down the shutout win.
