Storm Tie for 11th at NSU Classic

SNU Women compete in second tournament of the year at NSU Classic

TULSA, Okla. — The Southern Nazarene University Women's Golf team continued its fall schedule this week at the NSU Women's Golf Classic, hosted at the Page Belcher Golf Course. The Crimson Storm tied for 11th in the 17-team field with a two-round total of 644 on the 5,710-yard, par-71 layout.

Junior Haley Whittern once again led the way, tying for 27th individually. She opened with a steady 74 (+3) before carding an 81 (+10) in round two, closing at 155 (+13). Sophomore Riley Rinner was close behind in a tie for 33rd after posting back-to-back rounds of 78 (+7) for a 156 (+14) total.

Sophomore Esther Santos finished third on the team with rounds of 80–86 (166, +24), while senior Gracelynn Nickell followed one stroke back at 167 (+25), bouncing back from an opening 86 with an 81 on day two. Freshman Addison Hoefar rounded out the lineup with scores of 86–87 (173, +31).

Rogers State captured the team title with a 589 (+21), followed by Arkansas-Fort Smith at 596 (+28) and Harding at 603 (+35). Arkansas-Fort Smith's Aliesa Situmorang claimed the individual championship, finishing at 1-over (143).

The Crimson Storm will return to action October 6–7 at the Grace Shin Invitational, hosted at the Golf Club of Edmond.
