MONKEY ISLAND, Okla.—Central Missouri hosted the Women's Golf Spring Regional Preview at the beautiful Shangri-La Country Club in Monkey Island, Oklahoma. Southern Nazarene finished 20th as a team in their final tournament ahead of the GAC Championships.
The Crimson Storm went into the tournament shorthanded with just a four player lineup. Darci DeWitt, Riley Rinner, Esther Santos, and Haley Whittern filled out the team's lineup card for the two-round par-72 tournament.
Rinner and Whittern tied for the team lead at T-77 on the leaderboard. They each shot 164 (+20). They swapped rounds with Rinner shooting 86-78, while Whittern shot 78-86. Rinner collected three birdies in round two, while Whittern notched a pair of birdies, as well as an eagle on the par-5 9th hole in round one.
Santos followed Rinner and Whittern with consistent rounds of 83 and 84 to finish at T-88. She notched a pair of birdies during Tuesday's round two. DeWitt closed the Crimson Storm lineup with rounds of 102 and 98.
Henderson State captured their third consecutive team title of the season. Their own Felisa Sajulga won her third individual title of the year by finishing 6-under par.
The Storm now turn their attention to the Great American Conference Championships April 21-23. The 2025 GAC Championships are set to be played at the Hardscrabble Country Club in Fort Smith, Arkansas, a course SNU should now be familiar with after competing there just two weeks ago. Southern Nazarene placed eighth in the GAC Championships last year.
