SNU Men's Golf Wraps Up Final Tournament ahead of GAC Championships

WICHITA FALLS, Texas—The Southern Nazarene Men's Golf team competed in their final tournament ahead of the Great American Conference tournament as they participated in the Midwestern State Invitational at the Wichita Falls Country Club in Wichita Falls, Texas.

The Crimson Storm battled through three rounds of the 6,884 yard par-71 course. The team finished 14th with a three-round score of 926 (315-318-293). Hosts Midwestern State won the tournament with a score of 857 (+5). UT Permian Basin's Will Tate won the tournament with an impressive 6-under par performance.

Andrew Hill put together a solid performance to lead the Storm. The freshman finished at +16, but was impressively just two-over in each of the final two rounds where he collected 8 birdies.

Dawson Dunlap and Josh Van Niekerk each finished one stroke behind Hill. The two made a big jump up the leaderboard in round three as Dunlap's 1-over pushed him up 11 spots, while Van Niekerk's 2-over helped him climb six spots. Van Niekerk also notched an eagle on the par-4 12th hole in round two.

Theo Naus and Landon Hendrix rounded out the Southern Nazarene lineup at +29. After struggling in rounds one and two, both significantly improved in round three as Naus shot just 4-over and Hendrix shot just 5-over.

The Great American Conference tournament is set for April 21-23 at the Hardscrabble Country Club in Fort Smith, Arkansas. The Crimson Storm will take the next few weeks to prepare for the GAC Championships as they look to improve upon their sixth place finish last season.
