Storm Rides in Lubbock

SNU competes in their first show of the new year

LUBBOCK, Texas - Southern Nazarene Equestrian kicked off the new year by competing in two Western shows at Texas Tech University February 1 and 2.

Day 1
The Storm earned a strong start with Josh Nelson claiming first place in the Beginner Horsemanship.

Eliana Brown followed closely behind, securing second place in the same event.

Southern Nazarene also earned two third place finishes with Felicity Miller in the Rookie B Western, and Timothy Hough, who finished right behind Miller.

Bethany Crouch placed fourth in the Rookie B Western Horsemanship, while Sienna Smithson took fourth in the Level 2 Horsemanship. Smithson also earned a fifth place finish in the Ranch Riding event.
Shiloh Ellison finished sixth in the Beginner Western Horsemanship Section B.

Lauren Hibbs and Leslie Perez both participated in the Beginner Horsemanship event.

Day 2

On Sunday, Southern Nazarene earned another first place finish with Sienna Smithson, who took first in Level 2 Western Horsemanship and also placed fourth in Ranch Riding.

Shiloh Ellison earned second place in the Beginner Western Horsemanship, while Lauren Hibbs secured third in the same event.

Eliana Brown placed fourth in Beginner Western Horsemanship, while Bethany Crouch finished fifth in the Rookie Western Horsemanship.

Timothy Hough and Felicity Miller both earned sixth place finishes in the Rookie Western Horsemanship.

Josh Nelson and Leslie Perez also participated in the Beginner Western Horsemanship.

Next Up
The Crimson Storm will head to Canyon, Texas, for the West Texas A&M University Shows, set for Saturday, February 15 through Sunday, February 16.
