LUBBOCK, Texas—The Southern Nazarene University Equestrian Team delivered a strong performance last weekend at the English horse shows hosted by Texas Tech University, highlighted by top finishes, multiple podium placements, and two riders advancing to the next competition level.
Competing in a range of divisions from Open to Pre-Novice, the Crimson Storm riders demonstrated consistency and growth across both days of competition.
Day 1 Highlights
Senior rider
Reagan Stevenson competed in the highly competitive Open division, participating in Open Equitation on the Flat and earning sixth place in Open Equitation over Fences.
In the Limit division,
Reagan Hall competed in both Limit Equitation on the Flat and over Fences, while
Sienna Smithson secured a fifth-place finish in Limit Equitation on the Flat and also competed over Fences.
The Novice division proved to be a standout for SNU.
Felicity Miller captured fourth place, while
Sara Garcia claimed first place in Novice Equitation. Garcia's victory earned her enough points to "point up," advancing her to the Limit Equitation on the Flat and Limit Equitation over Fences divisions for the remainder of the season.
In Pre-Novice Equitation, the Crimson Storm placed four riders in the top four.
Alaina Le led the group with an impressive second-place finish, followed by
Eliana Brown in third.
Shiloh Ellison and
Bethany Crouch each earned fourth-place ribbons, rounding out a dominant showing in the division.
Day 2 Results
The momentum continued into Sunday's competition.
Reagan Stevenson improved her Open performance with a second-place finish in Open Equitation on the Flat and a fifth-place finish over Fences, adding valuable points for SNU.
Now competing in the Limit division after her Day 1 win,
Sara Garcia participated in Limit Equitation on the Flat.
Reagan Hall earned sixth place in Limit Equitation on the Flat and fourth over Fences, while
Sienna Smithson competed in both classes.
In Novice Equitation,
Felicity Miller added a sixth-place finish to her weekend results.
The Pre-Novice riders once again made their presence known.
Eliana Brown placed fourth,
Bethany Crouch finished sixth, and
Alaina Le secured another fourth-place ribbon.
Shiloh Ellison earned fifth place and, with her cumulative points, moved up to the Novice division.
