Storm Competes In SNU STUNT Tournament

Crimson Storm competes inside the Sawyer Center for their first home tournament

BETHANY, Okla. - The Crimson Storm STUNT team hit the mat inside the Sawyer Center as they hosted their first STUNT tournament in program history.

The Storm went head to head with Hope International, Centenary College, Connors State, and Oklahoma Baptist over three days finishing the weekend 2-2.

On Thursday, February 20 the Storm first took on top NAIA squad Hope International. The Crimson Storm was able to put up three points, but the Royals came away with the 19-3 victory over SNU.

The Storm then met Centenary College for their first game on Friday, February 21. Southern Nazarene dominated, defeating the Ladies 12-0 in an eight-round contest. 

SNU then faced Connors State for their final contest of the day. The Storm was able to sneak away with an 8-4 eight-round win.

The Storm met top-ranked Oklahoma Baptist for their final game of the weekend on Saturday, February, 22. The Bison proved their dominance once again defeating SNU 23-0.

"This past weekend, the SNU STUNT tournament was a huge success! SNU went 2-2 in their games, showing great skill, excitement and determination. We had the pleasure of hosting 5 colleges and 5 high schools, making it a vibrant and competitive event. The atmosphere was electric, with teams showcasing their best routines and skills. Overall, it was a fantastic weekend filled with exciting performances, amazing talent, and great exposure for SNU" shared Head STUNT Coach Angela Hamilton.


Next Up

The Storm will head to Denton to compete in the Texas Woman's tournament on February 28 and March 1. The Crimson Storm will take on Texas A&M-Kingsville, St. Edwards, and Connors State.
