BETHANY, Okla. — No. 7 Southern Nazarene opened the SNU Conference Challenge in dominant fashion on Friday night, rolling past Cameron 89–70 inside the Sawyer Center to remain perfect on the season.
The Crimson Storm (5-0, 0-0 GAC) seized control early, leading the Aggies (2-4, 0-0 LSC) 24-14, but CU rallied back to go ahead 28-27 and the two squads battled from there. After taking a 40–38 lead into the break, SNU erupted for 49 second-half points while holding Cameron to just 32, showcasing the same physicality and composure that have defined its unbeaten start.
Tracy Godfrey Jr. led the charge with a smooth and steady performance, putting up 17 points on a perfect 6-of-6 start from the field while grabbing six rebounds. His strong finishing around the rim set the tone for SNU's 42 points in the paint.
Baron Bracey once again directed the Storm's attack, stuffing the stat sheet with 14 points, 10 rebounds, and three steals. The senior guard's defensive instincts sparked multiple transition pushes, while his playmaking guided SNU's second-half surge.
The balanced scoring continued as Bam Johnson added 12 points and three steals, and Colby Henderson posted a near double-double of his own with 10 points and 11 rebounds.
SNU's bench depth proved pivotal, contributing 29 points led by Aaron Potter's 11 and Brady Cook's nine. James Burries delivered another efficient outing with nine points on 4-of-6 shooting while battling on the boards.
The Crimson Storm shot 52.5% from the field and outrebounded Cameron 43–22, overpowering the Aggies inside and generating 17 second-chance points. SNU also capitalized on mistakes, turning 15 forced turnovers into key scoring opportunities.
