Storm Come Up Short Against Harding

Crimson Storm battle back to tie it late, but the Bisons score in the final minute to take a 2-1 win in Bethany

BETHANY, Okla. - Southern Nazarene came up just short on Saturday afternoon, falling 2-1 to Harding University at Wes Harmon Field.

The Crimson Storm (2-7-1, 0-4 GAC) started strong, creating early chances as Samantha Most sent a shot just over the top. Harding  (4-4-1, 2-1 GAC) got on the board seven minutes in to take a 1-0 lead, but SNU goalkeeper Madaline Bullard kept things close with a couple of big saves.

Danika Womack had a good look later in the half, but her shot was stopped as the Crimson Storm went into halftime trailing the Bisons 1-0.

In the second half, SNU kept pushing. Bella Morgas had a shot go high, and Ella Adams followed with a few solid attempts from outside the box. With just two minutes left, Adams connected with Adison Johnson, who buried the equalizer to make it 1-1.

Harding found a late answer, scoring with less than a minute to go to grab the 2-1 win over the Crimson Storm.
