Crimson Storm Clinch 4-3 Win Over Dallas Baptist

Crimson Storm Secure Hard Fought Victory Against DBU

BETHANY, Okla. - The Southern Nazarene Crimson Storm pulled off a thrilling 4-3 win over Dallas Baptist at Wes Harmon Field. Both teams brought the heat, and it was one of those games you just couldn't take your eyes off of.

The game kicked off with both teams battling hard to take control on their side of the field. SNU (1-1, 0-0 GAC) came out strong early, with Francisco Chong taking a shot that missed just right. But the Crimson Storm didn't waste time getting on the scoreboard.

With a little over 32 minutes into the first half, Edwin Garcia set up a perfect chance for Lucas Beja, who knocked in the first goal of the game, putting The Crimson Storm up 1-0.

DBU (0-1-1, 0-0 LSC) remained aggressive, putting pressure on the SNU defense early, tallying five shots in the first half.

Both teams continued to battle into the second half. The Patriots found the response they needed just 10 minutes into the second half as they tied the score at 1-1.

Just 15 minutes later the Patriots tacked on another goal to take the lead 2-1.

Niklas Stalzer tied the game up with a slick goal, assisted by Juan Solis. Not even two minutes later, Unaiz Shajani got in on the action, scoring to make it 3-2, with Caesar Solis racking up an assist with 16:32 left to play in the second half.

DBU did not back down and kept up the pressure, taking 10 shots in the second half for a total of 15 in the match. Their persistence paid off when Hunter Dierlam managed to sneak one past Andrej Krivokapic, tying the game at 3-3 with just under seven minutes left to play.

Southern Nazarene kept their momentum going late in the game. At 5:52, Axel Agurcia found the back of the net, pushing the score to 4-3 and putting an end to any hope DBU had of a comeback.

Right after, Krivokapic made a key save to stop a shot from Hunter Dierlam, helping the Crimson Storm hold onto their lead. Adding to DBU's challenges, Aidan McGeown received a red card, leaving them a man down for the rest of the match.

As the final whistle blew, Southern Nazarene came away with a strong 4-3 win. It was an action packed night and an all around strong performance by the Crimson Storm.
