Bethany, Okla. - The Southern Nazarene Women's Soccer team opened their season with a 1-1 draw against Northwest Missouri State. In their first ever meeting, both teams battled in hard fought game from start to finish.

The Storm scored first late in the first half when Kaira Boah notched her first collegiate goal, thanks to an assist from Bella Morgas. Boah's goal came with just five minutes left before halftime, giving the Storm a 1-0 advantage heading into the break.

SNU's defense was strong through much of the second half, but Northwest Missouri State managed to put one in the back of the net, tying the game at 1-1.

From there the two squads looked to break the tie, but neither would let up on the defensive side of the ball. This made it difficult for both offenses as they battled down to the wire.

The clock slowly ran out as the contest finished in a 1-1 draw. A strong start for the Storm as the look to embark on another successful season.
