Storm Shutout Eastern New Mexico 4-0

Solis and Shajani Shine In Storm's Big Game

WICHITA FALLS, TX. - Southern Nazarene Men's Soccer made a statement on the road in Wichita Falls, Texas, as they shut out Eastern New Mexico 4-0.

The Storm (3-1-1, 0-0) came out strong, with Haruka Miyatake taking the first shot of the match just two minutes in. It didn't take long for them to get it going, as Cesar Solis found the back of the net with just 12:36 on the clock, assisted by both Axel Agurcia and Miyatake. 


A close shot from Francisco Chong with 18:24 on the board just missed to the top right, but Solis was back at it again just a few minutes later. At 21:01, he scored his second goal of the night, giving SNU a 2-0 advantage heading into halftime.


The second half saw the Storm maintain their momentum. Eastern New Mexico (1-2-2, 0-0 LSC) struggled to gain control, while SNU kept the pressure on. At 57:55, Unaiz Shajani added a third goal onto the scoreboard, assisted by Junior Duran, putting the Storm ahead at 3-0.


Solis and Shajani were on fire offensively, with Shajani snagging his second goal of the night at 70:45, thanks to an assist from Solis. That made it 4-0, with SNU in full control of the match. 
Eastern New Mexico's goalkeeper, Catalin Nastuta, came up with a big save with 72:25 on the clock on a shot from Niklas Stalzer but SNU had already built a solid lead.

Cesar Solis and Unaiz Shajani played key roles in the match, helping SNU to a strong victory and keeping their momentum going.
