Storm Rolls Past Ouachita Baptist with 3-0 Win

SNU locks in the win with two home games to go

BETHANY, Okla. - Southern Nazarene turned up the heat at Wes Harmon Field, rolling past Ouachita Baptist with a strong 3-0 win.

Early on, SNU (9-3-4, 6-1-3 GAC)  looked eager to strike. Niklas Stalzer launched a bottom center shot with 14:53 on the clock, forcing a save by Ouachita Baptist's (3-11-2, 1-8-1 GAC) Dillon Staal.

Esteban Ramirez and Keshon Carter each put Staal on high alert later on, with Ramirez aiming for the top right and Carter targeting the bottom corner.

Staal wasn't giving anything away, pulling off some great saves to keep it even until the Crimson Storm's Junior Duran had something to say about it. Just before halftime, Duran got the Storm on the board, sending one into the net and giving SNU a solid 1-0 lead.

Coming into the second half, the Storm kept up the momentum. Alex Oropeza tried to add another goal, sending a shot straight at Staal, but Staal wasn't backing down. With 63:10 on the clock, SNU got a great opportunity when Axel Agurcia stepped up for a penalty kick and nailed it, stretching the lead to 2-0.

With just a few minutes to go, Lucas Beja, thanks to an assist from Ramirez, fired in one last goal, sealing the deal at 3-0. The Storm kept the pressure up until the final whistle, securing a big win. With this victory locked in, the Storm now look ahead to their last two home games of the season.
