Storm and Tigers Battle To a Draw

SNU and Ouachita Baptist battle to a hard fought draw in Arkadelphia

ARKADELPHIA, Ar. - Southern Nazarene faced off against Ouachita Baptist in a match that ended in a 0-0 draw.

The Storm (6-4-4, 4-2-3 GAC) were looking to build on their earlier match against the Tigers (5-6-3, 4-2-3 GAC) this season, where they also battled to a tie. Both teams were looking to make their mark.

The first half OBU's Teagan Jaussi and Hattie Gardner took some solid shots on goal, but SNU's keeper, Gianna Bonnett, was on fire, stopping everything that came her way.

The Crimson Storm's Bella Morgas tried to shake things up with a couple of good attempts, but Ouachita Baptist's goalkeeper, Carina Chavarria, was there to save it.

As the first half wound down, both teams kept chasing that first goal, but they headed into halftime with the score still locked at 0-0.

The second half Natalie Montanez got in on the action early at 55:40, but her shot flew a little too high. SNU kept the pressure on Ouachita Baptist, with attempts from Mallory Bennett at 56:25 and Ella Adams at 57:18, but the Tigers' defense held firm.

It was a back and forth battle for the rest of the game, but no one could find the net, and the match ended in a 0-0 tie.
