Storm Slides Past Harding with a 1-0 Win

Woods early goal and great defense secures SNU's win over Harding

BETHANY, Okla.-  Southern Nazarene University's women's soccer team pulled off a solid 1-0 victory against Harding at Wes Harmon Field.

The Crimson Storm (6-4-3, 4-2-2 GAC) set the tone early, with Camdyn Wood putting SNU on the scoreboard just 7:27 into the match. Wood scored with a perfectly placed shot, thanks to an assist from Ella Adams

Harding (5-6-1, 4-2-1 GAC) wasn't giving up, pushing hard to get back in the game. Kloey Fullerton took a shot 16 minutes into the game, but it went wide. SNU stayed as Bella Morgas took her shot next. Ella Adams also sent one over toward the bottom right, but the Bisons keeper came up big with the save.

As the teams went into halftime, SNU held a 1-0 lead. In the second half, Harding came out strong, almost tying it up with 56:39 on the clock when Georgia Templeton took a shot, but Gianna Bonnett was there for a great save.

The game continued with both teams taking shots, but no one could find the net again. Ella Adams had a chance to extend The Crimson Storms lead with 71:49, but her shot went just wide.
It was a defensive battle from there as the Crimson Storm held off the Bisons to secure the victory, 1-0.
