DUNCAN, Okla.—The Southern Nazarene Men's Golf team competed in their final tournament of the fall slate earlier this week. They claimed 12th as a team at the Hrnciar Invitational hosted by Cameron University.
The teams played two rounds on Monday followed by a single final round on Tuesday. The Crimson Storm climbed as high as 6th on the team leaderboard after the second round, but were unable to continue that momentum as a tough final round dropped them back to 12th. They shot rounds of 307-298-322 on their way to a final team score of +63.
Theodor Naus and Dawson Dunlap tied for the SNU lead at +13 over their three rounds, good for a T-29 finish in the field. Naus used a strong round one of even par to vault him up the leaderboard. Dunlap came away with the only under-par showing for SNU in round two as he used three birdies to help him to -1 for the round.
Landon Hendrix finished one stroke behind Naus and Dunlap at +14. He shot +3 in both Monday rounds before a +8 showing in round three. He finished T-36.
Aiden Webster and Mason Sebrant rounded out the Crimson Storm lineup. Webster sandwiched a +1 round with scores of +10 and +12 in rounds one and three. He finished T-56, while Sebrant finished 75th.
Hosts Cameron University won the tournament at +19. Their own Ethan Parker took home the individual title.
SNU will return to tournament action in February as they gear up for the Great American Conference Championships next April.
