Storm Tie Bulldogs 0-0

SNU and SWOSU fight to a 0-0 draw in a defensive showdown in Weatherford

WEATHERFORD, Okla. - Southern Nazarene hit the road to Weatherford for a showdown with Southwestern Oklahoma State. The two squads battled until the end forcing a 0-0 tie.

SNU (5-4-3, 3-2-2 GAC) came out swinging right from the start, with Ella Adams firing off a shot in the very first minute. Then, just 12 minutes in, SWOSU (4-6-3, 2-3-2 GAC) had a chance to take the lead with a penalty kick. Gianna Bonnett wasn't having any of that though, coming up huge with a save to keep things even.

The Storm kept pressing, with Camdyn Wood nearly sneaking one in at 19:28 on the clock, but the Bulldogs keeper Terra Rybuck stopped it. Bella Morgas took her shot a few minutes later, followed by another close one from Adams, but Rybuck was locked in.

After the break, the Bulldogs tried to get something going with Savanna Clark forcing Bonnett into another save at 48:19. Morgas gave it another go at 53:18 on the board, but her shot went high, keeping the game scoreless.

It was a defensive battle from there as neither team could find the back of the net forcing a 0-0 tie in Weatherford.
