Strong defense from both teams results in a 0-0 draw

BETHANY, Okla. – The Southern Nazarene Crimson Storm Men's Soccer team battled against Rogers State but ended in a  0-0 draw in a thrilling match at Wes Harmon Field.

Rogers State (4-4-3, 4-0-1)  came out strong early, with Noah Preston-Watkins testing SNU (7-3-2, 4-1-1 GAC) goalkeeper Andrej Krivokapic at 8:36, but Krivokapic made a solid save to keep the game scoreless. Just a few minutes later, Francisco Chong tried to put the Storm on the board with a shot aimed at the top corner at 15:37, but RSU's keeper, Declan Viljoen, was quick to make the stop.

The back and forth action continued as Axel Agurcia took a chance at 19:52, missing the target.

RSU's Preston-Watkins fired another shot at 29:40, but the first half ended without a goal from either side.

In the second half, SNU continued to press, with Junior Duran sending a shot just wide at 54:44. Edwin Garcia followed up at 57:48 with a close shot, but Viljoen once again denied the Storm. The Hillcats responded at 62:23 with a shot from Alex Fletcher, and at 70:06, Brandon O'Rourke's low shot was saved by Krivokapic.

The Storm tried again as Agurcia fired a shot to the bottom left corner at 74:24, but Viljoen was there to save the shot for the Hillcats once again. The clock ran down before either squad could tally a goal leaving the score to a 0-0 draw in Bethany.
